Fish: NF South Fork Trap, Outmigrant Salmonids by Date, 1998 |
|
Caption: The California Department of Fish and Game captured salmonid juveniles in the North Fork South Fork Noyo and South Fork Noyo River in spring and fall of 1998. The large number of coho salmon fry (young of the year) during the first week of trapping was also shown by South Fork Noyo River trap results. Yearling coho moved downstream from the end of March to early June. Smaller numbers of salmonid juveniles migrated downstream in fall. Larger salmonid juveniles may avoid fyke traps so data on yearling salmonids and two year old steelhead may be biased low. See Source Table for other aquatic vertebrates trapped.
