Temperature: Min, Max and Average NF Noyo at Hayworth 1996 |

Caption: Water temperatures in the North Fork Noyo at Hayworth Creek (site 07) peaked at ~18.4 C in late June, ~19.7 C in early August, and 18.6 C in August 1996 with diurnal temperature shifts of ~3.5 C, ~3.1 C, and ~2.9 C respectively. The seasonal fluctuation in temperature was ~9.3 degrees C. The optimal water temperature for salmonid salmon growth of 10-15 degrees C (Brett, 1952) is shown for reference. Data provided by Mendocino Redwood Company. Click on Picture to see a map of temperature monitoring locations.
