Caption: This chart shows floating weekly maximum temperatures in the West Branch of the Sheepscot River at river kilometer (RKm) 0.54 for 1994 through 1997. Floating weekly maximum temperatures exceed 22.5°C for extended periods starting late June, in all years except 1996, and persisting untill August. Elliott (1991) found that juvenile Atlantic Salmon stop feeding when temperatures exceed this level. Temperature data are from the Maine Atlantic Salmon Commission.
