Caption:  Water temperatures in Hayworth Creek above the North Fork Hayworth (site 06) in 1996 peaked at ~21 C on July 30. The maximum diurnal temperature shift was of just under 4 C and the seasonal variation was just over 9 degrees C. The optimal water temperature for salmonid salmon growth of 10-15 degrees C (Brett, 1952) is shown for reference. Data provided by Mendocino Redwood Company.
