Caption: This Chart shows the floating weekly average water temperatures at lower Thompson Creek (site 55) for the years 1997 and 2001. While the maximum floating weekly average water temperature (MWAT) exceeded the juvenile coho suitability rearing level (Welsh et al., 2001) in both years, lower Thompson Creek would have still been suitable for steelhead rearing. Temperature data come from automated water temperature data probes placed in the Klamath River and its tributaries by the Klamath National Forest and the Karuk Tribe.
