Caption: The floating weekly average water temperature of upper Horse Linto Creek is shown for the years 1997, 1998, and 1999. The maximum weekly average temperature (MWAT) did not exceed 16.8 C except for a brief period in 2000. Increased temperatures at this location may be in part owing to changes in canopy related to the Megram Fire. The threshold represents suitability for coho salmon according to Welsh et al. (2001). Similar temperature thresholds have not been confirmed for the Klamath Basin and, therefore, the threshold is shown only for reference. Data provided by Six Rivers National Forest.
