KRIS Russian River: Chart Page

Area Basin-wide/Regional
Topic Stream Channel: Cross-Section - Russian River rm33.5

Caption:  This chart shows cross-section surveys on the Russian River at river mile 33.5, located in Alexander Valley at the Bailhache Gauge. A large feature in the center of the channel was scoured out between 1985 and 1991. In 1997, the channel scoured and the thalweg deepened. Aggradation was seen in 2000 and the thalweg migrated from the left bank to the middle of the channel. Data come from the Sonoma County Water Agency and were collected as part of the Russian River Aggregate Resource Management monitoring. Cross-section data pre-1991 were digitized from SCWA cross-sectional blue prints by NW Hydraulics. See InfoLinks for more information.
